TV anime "Onmyoji of Twins" announces key visual and new additional cast members! Jun Fukuyama, Tomoaki Maeno, Daisuke Namikawa, Kaito Ishikawa

A key visual and new additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime "Onmyoji of the Twins," which will start in April.

Onmyoji of the Twins" is an anime based on Yoshiaki Sukeno's manga serialized in JUMP SQ. It is a battle action fantasy depicting a battle between monsters attacking the human world from another world and Onmyoji, but it is also a romantic comedy about a boy who once aspired to be an Onmyoji and a girl who is an Onmyoji, suddenly given the title of "Onmyoji of Twin Stars" and living as a couple to give birth to a "child god" who will bring an end to the battle. Directed by Tomohisa Taguchi of "Persona 4 the Golden," assistant director is Tatsuya Igarashi of "THE UNLIMITED Kyosuke Hyobu," series composition is by Toshihisa Arakawa of "Kingdom," character design is by Kikuko Sadakata of "Night Yatterman," and production is by studio Pierrot.

The key visual and new additional cast members have now been released. The key visual depicts the two main characters, Rokuro and Benio, who look at each other with a strong gaze against a background of a ravaged field, and Yuto, Mayura, Seigen, and Shimon, who look at them with their own feelings, foreshadowing the beginning of the story. Also at Benio's feet is Kinako, Benio's shikigami, who will appear as an original anime character. The additional cast includes Jun Fukuyama as Kinako, who, despite her cute appearance, speaks in a thick Kansai dialect; Tomoaki Maeno as Ryogo Nanatsuji, an Onmyoji who is like an older brother to Rokuro; Daisuke Namikawa as Arima Tsuchimikado, the leader of the Soha Onmyo Ren, a group of Onmyoji; and Daisuke Namikawa as a boy genius who, at only 14 years old, is one of the "Twelve Heavenly Generals," the most powerful Onmyoji group in the world. The boy prodigy Ikaruga Shimon, who became one of the "Twelve Heavenly Generals" at the age of 14, is played by Ishikawa Kaito. Here are their comments.

In addition, the broadcast slot has been set, and the show will be aired on Wednesdays from 18:25 on TV Tokyo from April 6.

I am very happy to be involved in the production as an important character like Ryogo. I feel a lot of pressure, but I am looking forward to seeing how I can express Ryogo's bright and straightforward personality and his warm and patient attitude toward Rokuro. Although Ryogo is Rokuro's older brother, I am going to put my heart and soul into the recording sessions so that I will not lose to Rokuro in terms of my feelings.

I was really happy when I was chosen to play the role. I feel a lot of pressure to play the role of Shimon, a talented Onmyoji, but I will do my best. Casting spells is something that every generation longs to do. I am so happy to be able to cast spells with all my might in this production. Thank you all for your support.
