USB 3.1 Type-C compatible external SSD "Portable SSD T3" series from SAMSUNG!

SAMSUNG has released the Portable SSD T3 series, abusiness-card-sized external SSD with a USB 3.1 Type-C port.

The lineup consists of four models : the 250GB "MU-PT250B", 500GB "MU-PT500B", 1TB "MU-PT1T0B", and 2TB " MU-PT2T0B" models.




The "Portable SSD T3" series is the successor to the "Portable SSD T1" series released last January.

In addition to anew USB 3.1Gen1 Type-C (5Gbps) port, the "V-NAND" technology, which stacks memory cells vertically in a three-dimensional manner, has been adopted to achieve a maximum capacity of 2TB despite its "business card" size. This is a feature of this product.


The case is composed of a shock-resistant metal frame and an internal protective frame, which protects data even when dropped from a height of approximately 2 meters. In addition, it is also equipped with an "AES 256-bit" hardware encryption function to strictly guard data.

The main specifications are as follows: main unit size is 58 (W) x 74 (D) x 10.5 (H) m, weight is 51 g, sequential read/write speed is up to 450 MB/s, supported OS is Windows 7 or later, Mac OS X 10.7 or later, Android 4.4 or later (*The dedicated application " SamsungPortable SSD" application). A USB 3.1 cable is included as an accessory.
