This is the third part of the "Sinbad" trilogy, following "Sinbad: The Flying Princess and the Island of Secrets" released on July 4, 2015 and "Sinbad: The Magic Lamp and the Moving Island" released on January 16, 2016. The animation director is Yoshiharu Sato, who worked on "My Neighbor Totoro," "The Witch's Delivery Service," and other Ghibli films.
