Evangelion Racing will also participate in SUPER GT for the first time in three years in 2016! With the first machine based on the new Mercedes AMG GT3

The racing team "Evangelion Racing" has announced its team structure for 2016.




Evangelion Racing has been participating in the SUPER GT 300 class and Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race since 2010. For the past few years, the team has been active only in motorcycle races, but in 2016, the team will be competing in SUPER GT for the first time in three years. For four-wheeled vehicles, the team will compete in the GT300 class of the SUPER GT 2016 series, and for two-wheeled vehicles, it will make spot entries in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race and the All Japan Road Race Championship (Round 2 at Suzuka and the final round at Suzuka).


In SUPER GT, the car No. 111 "Eva RT Hajimeki Rn-s AMG GT" is based on the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 FIA-GT3 vehicle and features a purple and green color scheme inspired by the Evangelion Hajimeki (first model). The team has teamed up with "Rn-sports," which focuses on driver management, and Masayuki Ueda, who is in his 10th year of SUPER GT participation, and Kazuya Tsuruta, who is also active in Super Taikyu and F4, will be at the steering wheel. In motorcycle racing, the team is teaming up with TRICK STAR RACING, which has been working together since 2010, to enter the "Eva RT Hatsune TRICK STAR" based on the 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R model. The team will be led by Osamu Deguchi, who has been leading the team for the past five years, and will be paired with Hitoyasu Izutsu, who is in his fifth year with the team. And for the final round of the All Japan Road Race Championship, the MFJ Grand Prix, Mr. Osamu Deguchi will be used.


The race queens are newly formed as "Evangelion Racing RQ 2016. Hiromi Hikichi, who plays Rei Ayanami, and Hina Noro, who plays Asuka, will continue as race queens, but Mizuki Kamio, who plays Mari, Sayaka Hoshijima, who plays Shinji, and Hosei Maruyama, who plays Kaworu, are the new members.

Individual sponsorships are available on the crowdfunding site "Makuake" (https://www.makuake.com/project/evangelionracing/) starting March 9, with a wide range of courses from 1,000 yen to 200,000 yen, The wide range of benefits include name recognition on the official website, T-shirts, caps, parasols, and a private event at Fujikyu Highland "EVANGELION: WORLD" with the race queens.
