Official for 3/2/B+, the official case for Raspberry Pi 3, is now available ahead of the main unit

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has released a new model of the official case for the Raspberry Pi, the business-card-sized single-board computer, "Pi Case Official for 3/2/B+".

The lineup consists of two models: the red/white colored "Pi Case Official for 3/2/B+ Red/White" (model number: 909-8132) and the black/gray colored "Pi Case Official for 3/2/B+ Black/Gray" (model number: 909-8138).

The "Pi Case Official for 3/2/B+" is an official case for the Raspberry Pi series.

In addition to the "Raspberry Pi B+" and "Raspberry Pi 2 Model B," it is compatible with the new model "Raspberry Pi 3 Model B" (not yet released) that was just announced on the 29th of last month, and can hold the "Raspberry Pi" perfectly.

In addition to the existing "red/white" color, a new "black/gray" color has been added, and the position of the status LED has been fine-tuned.

The new "Raspberry Pi 3 Model B" is a third-generation model based on the previous model, with an upgraded CPU and wireless communication functions (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth). The ARM Cortex-A53 (operating clock: 1.2GHz/quad-core *64bit support) is used as the processor and Broadcom's BCM43143 (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 4.1 LE) as the wireless communication function. The release date is undecided at this time.
