WD80EFZX, Western Digital's 3.5-inch HDD for NAS with 8TB capacity, is now available for pre-order and will go on sale next Friday, March 18.

Western Digital's WD80EFZX, a 3.5-inch NAS HDD with 8TB capacity, will be released next Friday, March 18, and the BUY MORE Akihabara flagship store is accepting pre-orders for the first shipment.

The WD80EFZX is the largest capacity 8TB model in Western Digital's WD Red series of NAS HDDs and features HelioSeal technology, which is filled with helium gas to reduce air resistance.

The main specifications includea SATA 3.0 (6Gbps)connectioninterface and 128MB cache capacity .Cache capacity is 128MB, disk speed is 5,400 rpm, and maximumtransfer rate is 178MB/s.

The preliminary price is 39,800 yen (including tax).
