Nao Higashiyama to play Goma-chan!　Spring Anime "Shonen Ashibe GO! GO! Goma-chan" Announces Cast

Goma-chan", a TV animation series that will start in April, has announced its cast.

Goma-chan" is a new anime series based on the manga by Hiromi Morishita, which was adapted into an OVA and two TV anime series from 1990 to 1992. The director is "Sergeant Keroro," a character from the "Sergeant Keroro" series. Directed by Nobuhiro Kondo of "Sergeant Keroro" fame, series composition by Toshimitsu Takeuchi, and produced by Bridge.

The cast has now been unveiled. The main character Ashiya Ashibe will be played by Rie Kawamura in her first starring role, the key role of Goma-chan, a baby sesame seal, will be played by Nao Higashiyama, Ashibe's father by Kenjiro Tsuda, Ashibe's mother by Chinatsu Akasaki, Dr. Tendo by Koji Yusa, and Yuniaki by Ayane Sakura. In addition, the opening theme will be the song "Hallo Tomorrow" by Ron, who is active on Nico Nico Douga. The ending theme is "Gomamoo" by Charisma.com and big brother RYO-Z (RIP SLYME).
