TV anime "Natsume's Book of Friends" to begin its fifth season in the fall of 2016!　Series selections to air from April.

Production of the fifth season of the TV anime "Natsume's Book of Friends" has been decided.



The first season of "Natsume's Book of Friends," based on the manga series published in the monthly LaLa magazine by Yuki Midorikawa, aired in July 2008 and gained popularity with its heartwarming story of interaction with youkai and characters such as Hiroshi Kamiya's Natsume and Kazuhiko Inoue's Nyanko sensei.

Four years after the fourth season aired, the fifth season, "Natsume's Book of Friends 伍" will finally begin in the fall of 2016. The general director is Takahiro Omori, who has directed the previous TV series; the director is Kotomi Ideai, who directed the OVA "Natsume's Book of Friends: Someday Yuki no Hi ni"; the series composition is by Sadayuki Murai, who has been working on the series since the third season; and the animation production is by Shunatsu of "Durarara! ×x2". The main cast will remain unchanged.

Prior to the broadcast, "Natsume's Book of Friends Series Selection," which picks up the main episodes from the first and second seasons, will be broadcast on April 5 from 26:35 on TV Tokyo.
