P.A.WORKS Work Ranking", Voting Results Announced!　SHIROBAKO" won over "Hanasaku Iroha" in a battle of two work works!

The "P.A.WORKS Works Ranking" voting project has been running since February 16 on the anime portal "Anipota" operated by Akiba Research Institute, and we are pleased to report the final results.

This is a popularity poll project created by a user named Kuroda-san on February 16. The popularity vote was open to all animation works produced by P.A.WORKS, which has an established reputation for original works, and 11 works were nominated for the top spot. The winner of the first place was "SHIROBAKO" with 1080 votes. This work depicts the struggles and pains of creators, centering on five girls who pursue their dreams, in an anime production site. The detailed descriptions and stories have gained popularity, including among people in the industry, and it has received a high rating of 4.54 for satisfaction in the general reviews posted on Anipota. It took the top spot from the beginning of the voting, and held off a strong challenge from the second-place finisher, "Hanasaku Iroha," to take a clear lead.

A close second was "Hanasaku Iroha" with 962 votes. This is another work-related story set in a local hot spring resort. It is a life-size depiction of the adolescence of girls who are struggling with work and love while dealing with a variety of circumstances, and a movie version was produced. It is also famous for pilgrimages to the holy places of Kanazawa City and Yuwaku Hot Springs in Ishikawa Prefecture, where it is set, and received a steady stream of votes throughout the show. A distant third was "TARI TARI" with 497 votes. This is a coming-of-age school story set in a high school on Enoshima, with many of the staff from "Hanasaku Iroha" participating." The theme is "chorus singing," and the music also won over fans. Incidentally, "Haruchika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun suru," a coming-of-age mystery in which students in a brass band try to solve a mystery, received only 7 votes.
