New TV series of summer anime "Berserk" announces staff and cast!　Directed by Shin Itagaki, produced by Raiden Film

The staff and cast of the TV anime "Berserk," which will start in July, have been announced.

This is an anime work based on the manga "Berserk" serialized in Young Animal by Kentaro Miura since 1989. It is a dark fantasy with a profound storyline, appealing characters, and overwhelmingly detailed drawings, and depicts the epic life of the main character, Guts, with flashy action and passionate human drama. The series is highly acclaimed around the world, with a total of more than 40 million copies of the comics in print. The series has been adapted into an anime twice: in 1997 with the TV anime "Kenpu Denki Berserk" (25 episodes), and in 2012 with the anime film trilogy "Berserk Golden Age Arc I: The High King's Egg," "Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Doldrey War," and "Berserk Golden Age Arc III: The Descent.

It will start in July in the "Anime-ism" slot of MBS and others and in WOWOW's newly established "Anime Premiere" slot, and the staff and cast have been unveiled. The original story and general supervisor is Kentaro Miura, director is Shin Itagaki of the "Teikyu" series, series composition is Makoto Fukami of the "PSYCHO-PASS" series, series composition cooperation is Taku Yamashita, main character design is Tsune Abe, music is Shiro Sagisu, the song is "Ashes" by Susumu Hirasawa, and production is by Raiden Film. The production company is Raiden Film, and the animation production companies are GEMBA and Milpansé. The tag team of director Shin Itagaki and character designer Tsune Abe is the same as the TV anime version of "Devil May Cry.

The cast follows the 2012 anime film trilogy. Guts is played by Hiroaki Iwanaga, Puck by Kaoru Mizuhara, Farnese by Yoko Hikasa, Serpico by Kazuyuki Okitsu, Isidro by Hiro Shimono, Azan by Hiroki Yasumoto, Casca by Toa Yukinari, Griffith by Takahiro Sakurai, and the Knight of Skulls by Akio Otsuka. The narration is by Unsho Ishizuka.

In addition, a new key visual has been completed. The main character, Guts, is depicted with a grim expression.
