Masterpiece TV animation "Tiger Mask" produces a new TV animation series, a sequel!　Wrestlers from New Japan Pro-Wrestling also appear!

Production of a new TV animation series from the masterpiece "Tiger Mask" has been announced.

This is one of the projects to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Toei Animation, and is a new TV series that follows the classic TV animation "Tiger Mask" broadcast in 1969, in which the legacy of Tiger Mask left by the white mat hero Naoto Date is passed to a new professional wrestler, and a new battle with the revived organization, Tora no Ana begins. This project was born out of a desire to revamp the 47-year-old cel-era animation for the current digital age and pass on the grand scale of the story to a new generation. While retaining the traditional celluloid touch, the new 2D and 3D computer graphics are fused together to depict the story. In addition, in collaboration with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, a number of actual pro-wrestlers will appear in the film.

The first poster visual will be unveiled at the Toei Animation booth in Anime Japan 2016. In addition, limited postcards will be distributed to the first 500 visitors. More details will be announced at a later date.

Two young wrestlers take a stand against the Tora no Ana (Tiger's Hole), an underground organization in the wrestling world that has been revived.
