Gourmet/cooking anime "Shokugeki no Soma" will start its second season in July!　Shokugeki no Soma Ni-no-Sara" on MBS and other stations.

It was announced that the second season of the TV anime "Shokugeki no Soma" will start in July.

Shokugeki no Soma" is an anime work based on a manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (original story: Yuto Tsukita, Shun Saeki, cooperation: Tomonori Morisaki). Set in a prestigious culinary school, it depicts the struggles of the main character, the son of a popular diner. The original work features the cooperation of Yuki Morisaki, a well-known cookery researcher who is too beautiful for her own good, for cooking ideas, etc., as well as the sexy tasting reactions of the female characters. The anime version is directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani of the "TIGER & BUNNY the Movie" series, with series composition by Shogo Yaskawa of "Terraformers" fame, and character design by Tomoyuki Shimotani of the "Bakuman. series, character design by Tomoyuki Shimotani, and animation production by J.C. STAFF.

New information about the second season was released this time. It will start in July on MBS and other stations as "Shokugeki no soma 弐ノ皿" (Shokugeki no soma 弐ノ皿). The first PV has also been released. The second season will start from the "Autumn Selection" competition by the first-year students. The staff and cast will remain unchanged.

Souma Kouhei, who spent his days helping out at his parents' downtown restaurant "Yukihira," is recommended by his father, Joichiro, to transfer to a certain culinary school upon graduation from junior high school. It was one of the best culinary schools in Japan, "Togetsu Saryo Ryori Gakuen" (......), an ultra-elite school with a graduation rate of less than 10%. The school's rigorous examinations, the hellish overnight training program in which many students drop out, and the food fights in which students risk their expulsion from the school are just a few of the challenges the students face. Souma overcomes various ordeals to hone her culinary skills. He met like-minded friends and other talented people of the same generation, and continued to grow as a person. --Then autumn arrived. Souma wins a ticket to participate in the "Autumn Selection," a Tohgetsu tradition in which only selected first-year students are allowed to compete.
