The results of the "2016 Spring Anime Expectations Popularity Poll" are in!　Bungo Stray Dogs" took first place by a wide margin!

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" conducted a voting project "2016 Spring Anime Expectation Popularity Poll" from March 14 to March 28, 2016. Let us inform you of the voting results.



This project asked people to vote for the works they are interested in among60 TV anime(as of March 13, 2016) thatwill start airing in spring 2016. The spring cool season is a particularly fierce battleground with many topical works, but this year's results show a new wave of major new releases beating out series titles.

The winner by nearly 1,000 votes over second place was "Bungo Stray Dogs," a work with a unique personality. This work is the talk of the town for its bold setting in which famous literary giants such as Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Kunikida Doppo battle it out using their unusual powers. The PV alone conveys the appeal of the game, with its diverse and beautiful characters and flashy action produced by BONES. It is sure to attract a lot of attention, so it remains to be seen how well it will live up to expectations.

In second place was the equally unique "Sakamoto Desu Desu? (Sakamoto is?), which is also unique. This gag anime depicts the school life of Sakamoto, a high school boy whose every action is stylish and cool, and features a talented and splendid cast including Hikaru Midorikawa, Akira Ishida, and Tomokazu Sugita. 2015 was a year of "Prison School" and "A World Where the Concept of a Bottom Line Does Not Exist. The staff's skills will also be tested in 2015, as "Prison School" and "A World Where Undertones Don't Exist" were highly rated for their ability to make viewers laugh.

In third place was "Macross Delta," the latest in the "Macross" series. Macross" is a robot animation series centered on transformable robots, songs, and love triangles, and is also popular for its music. The series heldan audition to select a voice actress and singer for the heroine, andthe youngest singer in the history of the series was chosen as the ace vocalist of the unit, so a new star may be born.
