Akihabara Oktoberfest 2016" kicks off! All 16 German beers, including the first release of 2016, "Fruehling Bock", will be served at the Nama

The Akihabara Oktoberfest 2016 kicked off on April 1 at Bellesalle Akihabara.




The German beer festival will be in Akiba again in 2016! Akihabara Oktoberfest 2016" at Bellesalle Akihabara from April 1 to 10.

Two of the six official breweries, Hofbräu and Spaten, which are allowed to have a stall at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, are participating in this event. Admission is free, and the event will be held from 11:00 to 21:00 until April 10.


This year's vendors will offer a total of 16 beers, including "Hofbräu," a beer made for the royal family; "Spaten," a 600-year-old beer that invented lager beer; "Franziskaner," a luxurious beer made with more than 50% wheat in addition to barley; and "Flensburger," a dry beer from northern Germany. In addition, there are also beer cocktails and several types sold by the bottle. In particular, Flensburger's spring-only beer "Flühringbock" was released for the first time in 2016 at this event. It has no peculiarities and is very easy to drink. On the other hand, Hofbräu "Münchner Weisse," which is the most popular beer in both Japan and Germany every year, has a refreshing and fruity taste. It goes well with sausages imported directly from Germany. Franziskaner "Weissbier," another popular beer, had a distinct bitterness and a rich barley flavor that reminded us once again of the deliciousness of beer.


Prices range from 1,000 to 1,500 yen for a regular-size beer and 2,300 to 2,900 yen for a liter-size beer. German dishes start at 400 yen for an individual dish and 1,800 yen for an assortment. Doner kebabs and other B-class gourmet food stalls will also be open. In addition, idols will perform on stage.
