TV anime "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" to produce second season! The stage is moved from the past to the present day!

The second season of the TV anime "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" has been announced.



Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" is an anime work based on Haruko Unda's manga serialized in ITAN. The TV anime version shares the same staff: director Mamoru Hatakeyama, series composition by Jun Kumagai, character design by Mieko Hosoi, and rakugo supervision by Mieko Hayashi. The rakugo supervisor is Shinpei Hayashiya, and the animation production is by Studio Deen.

The 13th and final episode, which aired from April 1, was the last episode of the series, and at the end of the episode, the second season was announced. The story, which focuses on the past of Kikuhiko (CV: Akira Ishida) and Sukeroku (CV: Koichi Yamadera), who lived their lives for rakugo, comes to an end and takes place in the present day. The details of the second season, including when it will begin airing, have yet to be announced, but expectations are high for what kind of human drama will be depicted in the second season.
