TV anime "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" releases sample video of new drama CD! Original story by Kiku-Hiko, Hatsutaro, and others!

A sample movie of the drama CD from the TV anime "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" has been released.



Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" is an anime work based on Haruko Unda's manga serialized in ITAN. Set in the world of rakugo in the Showa era (1926-1989), the story delicately depicts the true faces and deeds of rakugo storytellers. Directed by Mamoru Hatakeyama, series composition by Jun Kumagai, character design by Mieko Hosoi, rakugo supervision by Shinpei Hayashiya, and animation production by Studio Deen. Recently, it was also decided to produce a second season, moving the stage from the past to the present day.


A sample movie of the bonus drama CD "Rakugo na Hibi -Maeza Chindoju-", which will be included in the limited-quantity production of the second volume of the Blu-ray and DVD, has been released. The CD includes a part of an original story featuring Kikuhiko (CV: Akira Ishida) and Hatsutaro (CV: Koichi Yamadera).

Other special features include a non-transcript opening/ending video, a special video project "Rakugo Exploration - Shinjuku Suehiro-tei Arc Part 2 -" featuring Yu Kobayashi and Sankyu Tatsuo as guides , and "Easy Neda Commentary," which explains rakugo that appears in the film.
