Kuroko's Basketball" to Feature Three Compilation Films and a Completely New Movie! Animated sequel "EXTRA GAME" to be released in 2017.

The following information on the theater version project from the anime "Kuroko no Basketball" has arrived.



Kuroko no Basket" is an anime work based on the basketball manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The "Kiseki's Generation" is a group of five geniuses who were simultaneously enrolled in the basketball club at Teikou Junior High School, a super powerhouse school, and were the only geniuses in 10 years. The story depicts the adolescence of the high school basketball club, with Tetsuya Kuroko as the main character, who was recognized by them as the "Sixth Man" and played as the "Phantom Sixth Man. The first TV anime season ran from April to September 2012, the second from October 2013 to April 2014, and the third from January to June 2015.


The production of a movie version has been announced for some time, and now further information has been released. First, as a "Winter Cup compilation," the first film will be screened for two weeks each starting September 3, 2016, October 8, 2016, and December 3, 2016. In addition, a completely new anime adaptation of "Kuroko no Basketball EXTRA GAME," a sequel to the main story, is scheduled to be released in 2017.
