3.5-inch HDDs with 10TB capacity are now available from HGST and Seagate.

The two models released are the HGST "HUH721010ALE600" and Seagate "ST10000NM0016". Both models feature the largest HDD capacity of 10TB.

The HUH721010ALE600is part of HGST's "Ultrastar He10" line of HDDs for data centers.

The main specifications are as follows: Connectioninterface: SATA 3.0 (6Gbps).Interface: SATA 6Gps, rpm: 7,200 rpm, cache capacity: 256MB, maximum transfer rate: 249MB/s, MTBF: 2.5 million hours.


The ST10000NM0016 is part of Seagate's Enterprise Capacity 3.5 Hard Drives (Helium) HDD for data centers.

The main specifications are as follows: Connection interface: SATA 3.0 (6Gbps). Interface: SATA 6Gps, rpm: 7,200 rpm, cache capacity: 256MB, maximum transfer rate: 254MB/s, MTBF: 2.5 million hours.
