WD80PUZX, an 8TB HDD for video surveillance systems, is now available from WesternDigital.
The WD80PUZX is part of the WD Purple series of HDDs for video surveillance systems designed for 24/7 continuous operation and supports up to 8 HDD configurations and up to 32 cameras.
The main specifications are:SATA 6Gbps interface, 5,400RPM RPM, 128MB cache capacity, 178MB/s transfer rate, average power consumption of 6.4W during read/write, 5.7W during idle, and 0.7W during standby/sleep.
