The unique martial arts Gundam work "Mobile Buden G Gundam" is now available as an HD remastered Blu-ray box set!

The TV anime "Mobile Budden G Gundam," which was broadcast from 1994 to 1995, will be released as an HD remastered Blu-ray box set.

Mobile Butoden G Gundam" is the original work of the so-called "Another Gundam" series, which takes place in a completely different world from that of the Space Century series that began with "Mobile Suit Gundam. It is a unique work based on the concept of a Gundam x fighting game, in which martial artists from different countries control their own "Mobile Fighters" and fight for world supremacy in a combat game called "Gundam Fight". This work was quite controversial at the time of its broadcast because it was a completely different level from the previous Gundam series, but it is said to have a strong fan base because of its unique character.

The new releases are "Mobile Butoden G Gundam Ishiba Tenjyo Blu-ray Box Volume 1" (September 27, 2016), which includes the first half of the TV series (episodes 1 to 24), and "Mobile Butoden G G Gundam Ishiba Tenjyo Blu-ray Box Volume 2" (November 11, 2016), which includes the second half of the TV series (episodes 25 to 49). Volume 2" (released November 25, 2016). The remastering was performed by HD scanning from new master positive film, and is said to be the highest picture quality in "G Gundam" history. Both will be priced at 34,000 yen (excluding tax).

Volume I includes the pre-broadcast special program, and Volume II includes the "Gundam Senki" (Batch V), which was released on VHS. In addition, a drama CD that was included in the soundtrack will be enclosed in each volume. In addition, the newly-drawn storage box, which connects volumes 1 and 2, was drawn by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara. The inner jacket will be newly drawn by the staff of the time.

A present campaign will be held for those who purchase both volume 1 and volume 2 at Bandai Visual Club or Premium Bandai to win "a framed reproduction of an original illustration using Kunio Okawara BOX illustration" or "a B2 half-size poster using Kunio Okawara BOX illustration". For details, please see the Bandai Visual Club's special page ( # ).
