Summer anime "Danganronpa 3" changes voice of Monokuma from Nobuyo Oyama to TARAKO!

Danganronpa" has been immensely popular as a game and anime series, and the latest anime "Danganronpa 3 -The End of Kibagamine Gakuen-" is scheduled to be broadcast in July. The new cast member of "Monokuma," an important character in the work, is to be played by Tarako.

The first "Danganronpa" game "Danganronpa: School of Hope and High School of Despair" was released in 2010 as a game for the PSP, and the series gained popularity. The second game, "Super Danganronpa 2: Sayonara Zetsubou Gakuen" was released in 2012, and in 2013, "Danganronpa: High School Students of Hope and Despair The Animation" was made into a popular anime series.

Players are involved in a survival game called "Colosseum," in which they are confined to their school and must uncover the culprits in a series of murders in the "Class Trial," but there is an important character who appears as the facilitator (mastermind?) of the story. At first glance, Monokuma appears to be a cute character, but in fact he has a very evil side, and this duality was well portrayed by Nobuyo Oyama, the well-known voice actress of "Doraemon" fame.
