Naokatsu Tsuda, director
I have been playing Key titles on my PC since I graduated from high school, and although it is a bit presumptuous to call myself a Key child, I have cried more than once or twice when playing them.
This time, I cannot hide my nervousness at the great responsibility of directing such a Key title.
Planetarian" is one of Key's titles that has been long awaited for an anime adaptation.
Due to the time constraints and other reasons, some fans may have thought that it would probably never be animated in their lifetime.
And now that it has been made into an anime, I am sure that you are wondering what the anime adaptation will be like. What about the music?
What about the music? What about the scenario? What about the visuals? Will it be just the content of the game, or will it include the content of the novel?
We are working hard to delve as deeply as possible into the meaning of "planetarian" as an anime, and to deliver to you the "original landscape" that Key titles have in common.
We hope you will be patiently waiting for it.
We hope that when you finish watching the anime "planetarian", this title will be a small light in your life in today's uncertain world.

Keiko Suzuki as Yumemi Hoshi no Yumemi
It has already been 12 years since the original work was published. Robot technology has advanced and become very familiar to us. It feels like the future I imagined back then is here now.
It is such a time, and the director gave me a plan to make the robot more human-like than in the original work. In the original work, there are a few breath-like expressions of emotion that we didn't dare to include because "he's a robot," although they are not very subtle. As the recording progressed, I realized that over the past 12 years, the way I voiced Yumemi and my expressions have become more rounded and gentle (......).
It is not only my voice that has changed! The sounds, the movements, the parts that were only depicted in the original text are now expressed in many ways. There are many things that can only be seen in the anime. I have only glimpsed some parts of the story, but I can't stop being excited!
I hope that those who know the original work and those who do not will be able to experience the world of "planetarian" in 2016, which has evolved even further with the new stage of anime, and Yumemi and I will be very happy.

Daisuke Ono as Kuzuya
After a long time, we are really happy to be able to bring "planetarian" to the world again like this.
Our favorite Key is here.
A timeless masterpiece that will never fade away. Please witness its unbounded brilliance.
