Kenji Kamiyama (Director/Screenplay) commented
In an age when we have to confront a heavy reality, what should animation films do? One day when I was asking myself this question, I was told, "Why don't you make a film that you want your daughter to see? I was struggling every day to find a way to get my daughter to watch the film. This story is a tale of a father and his daughter, based on the thoughts and feelings of a minimalist individual.
