Second album "What a Wonderful World Line" completed! fhána affirms this world line

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Ilya Zweiherz! fhána has sung theme songs for TV anime one after another over the past year, including the OP theme song "Wonder Stella," the OP theme song "Comet Lucifer: The Seed and the Sower," and the OP theme song "Haruchika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun suru," the OP theme song "Niji wo Henshitara. Their second album "What a Wonderful World Line," their first in about a year, is filled with their message that looks ahead to the times.

So, let's still affirm this world line. This is the theme of their second album, "What a Wonderful World Line.

─ It has been about a year since the release of your last album, "Outside of Melancholy". What has the past year been like for fhána?

yuxuki waga: After releasing the album and performing at various venues, I feel like we've reached the point where we are now. LIVE, I have had more opportunities to meet fans in person than before.

kevin mitsunaga There were a lot of "firsts" for you.

towanaWe also went to Atlanta (Anime Weekend Atlanta) for our first overseas live performance. It was my first one-man live concert and first tour after releasing the first album "Outside of Melancholy," so I feel that only one year has passed since then after all these experiences.

yuxuki: Before we released our first album, we had done quite a few anime songs, so people knew our songs, but they didn't know what kind of people fhána was, so I think there were many opportunities for people to get to know us last year. I was even approached by a clerk at a music store who said, "I went to your concert the other day" (laughs). (Laughs.) From such familiar places, I feel that more and more people are seeing fhána in person.

Junichi Sato:It was aphysically and mentally challengingyear.I think that feeling has led to this album. The title "What a Wonderful World Line" is a seemingly positive message, "What a WonderfulWorldLine.In2016, I believe that the world is still in a far from ideal state, and that it cannot be just a pretty picture, so I thought, "So let's still affirm this world line. That is the theme that runs through the entire album.

─ ─ It is precisely because we are living in such an era that you want to deliver a positive message.

Sato: By doing that, I wanted to make myself comfortable first of all. I don't think there is any objective meaning to life in this world. The meaning of life is something that each one of us must find out for ourselves, and it is our own will that gives color to the gray world. This is the message of the first song, "The Color to Gray World," and it is also the message I want to convey throughout the album.

─ ─ Starting with "The Color to Gray World," the second song is "What a Wonderful World Line," the title track of the album. This song has a very positive atmosphere.

Sato: But the lyrics are not straight forwardly positive. There are words like "We don't want to understand each other" and "The world is in pieces. But because we see the world in such a way, the brief moment when we think we understand each other shines like a gift to our lives. If we don't stop believing, miracles may happen. The message of "What a Wonderful World Line"is that the world is beautiful, and this isthe message that leads to thelast song, "gift song.

─ So the songs call out to each other and are connected to each other in this album.

Sato Theseventhsong, "Niji wo Kenshitarete" is theOPtheme song for theTVanime "Haruchika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun suru," andI wrote it by comparinghuman beings, who cannot mix with others,to a rainbow withsevenparallel colors. ButI thought it would be nice if the colors of therainbowintersected with each other, like weaving the colors of arainbow. The word "weave" was inspired by the idea of people interacting with each other while maintaining their individual existence, and I thought that although people may not be able to understand each other, they can recognize each other. This idea is also the message you are sending through the album.

─ If you understand that you are different from others, you can compromise with each other.

Sato: On the contrary, to completely understand someone means that the distinction between oneself and others disappears, and all people become identical. It is precisely because we cannot understand each other that we are not alone. I think I was able to make myself more comfortable by writing songs with this in mind.

─ ─ "Niji wo Kenshitara" was written for an anime work, but it also fits the theme of this album, doesn't it?

Sato That's right. Of the several tie-up songs on the album, "Niji wo Kakitatteiru" was the one that fit the best, but "Wonder Stella" (the theme song for the TV anime "Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Ilya Zweiherz! OP theme song) and "Comet Lucifer: The Seed and the Sower" (TV anime "Comet Lucifer" OP theme song), I feel that we have taken steps to reach the world line of this album.

yuxukiThe artwork for each single release is also symbolic. In "Wonder Stella,"each person hadonecolor, but in "Comet Lucifer," everyone became monochrome, and in "Niji wo Kenshitara" they weregiven color, which mysteriously led to the album's theme. I thought it was interesting that such a flow was created by chance.

───It was fate that led us to the album in such a way. I feel that the word "world line" fits this album perfectly.
