New illustrations and comments from the TV anime "Arslan Senki: Fubuki Ranbu," which will start in July, have been released.



Arslan Senki" is ananime work based on a manga serialized inBessatsu Shonen Magazine by Yoshiki Tanaka of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" (original story) and Hiroshi Arakawa of "Fullmetal Alchemist" (artwork). It is an epic historical fantasy depicting the growth and scheming of a boy prince who was forced to flee his country and his journey to recapture the royal capital with only a few companions. The second season of the series will be broadcast on Sundays from 5:00 p.m. on the 28 MBS/TBS network nationwide. Directed by Noriyuki Abe, series composition by Makoto Uezu, chief character design by Shingo Ogiso, and animation production by Leiden Film.

What are the highlights of the new series?
The new costumes. At this point (*at the time of the interview), it is not yet completed, but I would like to change it a little from the image color of each character up to now. I hope to show a different aspect of each character in the new costumes. 2.

What did you focus on when designing the new costumes?
I designed the costumes, and Mr. Arakawa supervised them. There were two different designs: Plan A, which was an extension of the previous image, and Plan B, which was a more adventurous design that made me think, "Is it OK to do this? In Proposal B, I made Narsus wear shorts and made Falanghese wear lighter clothes (laughs). (Laughs.) You can see what we ended up with in the illustrations of the new costumes and in the main story.

3. Do you have a message for Arslan fans?
New characters will appear in the new series. In particular, I hope that you will look forward to seeing characters such as Merleen and Princess Irina, who are very unique and full of charm.
