Buffalo has released the "WCR-1166DS," a compact wireless LAN router for studio apartments.

The WCR-1166DS is an IEEE802.11ac (up to 866Mbps ) wireless LAN router featuring compact dimensions of 50 (W) x 109 (D) x 110 (H) mm.

It is equipped with a "beamforming" function that delivers a stable signal by automatically tracking compatible devices as they move around the room, and a dedicated"QRsetup" application forAndroid/iOSis also available, enabling initial Internet setup using only a smartphone/tablet.

Main specifications include: IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac compatible wireless LAN standard, 1 wired LAN port (10/100BASE-TX compatible), main unit size of 50 (W) x 109 (D) x 110 (H) mm, and weight of approximately 139 g.
