Commemorating the release of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III"!　Yurukawa Gundam" appears on the cover of TV Station!

The original anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III" will finally begin its two-week limited event screening this weekend, May 21, 2016 (Saturday). To commemorate its release, TV Station, a TV information magazine, will collaborate with the work.

This is the third chapter of the "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" anime, which has sold a total of 10 million copies as a manga work by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the first Gundam, which began broadcasting in 1979. This time, the story depicts Edwau Mas, who left the Texas Colony and entered the Defense Academy of the Autonomous Republic of Zeon as Char Aznable, deepening his friendship with his classmate Garma, a sergeant in the Zabi family, and the students' armed uprising against the Earth Federation security forces in a bid for independence.

To commemorate the event screening, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" will be featured in the May 21 issue (on sale May 18) of "TV Station," published by Diamond Inc. The special feature will include the story of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" to date, an explanation of basic "Gundam" knowledge that is not currently available, and a dialogue interview between Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the general director of this work, and Shuichi Ikeda, who has played Char for many years. The cover also features a "Yurukawa Gundam" drawn by illustrator Shigeru Tamura, who has been drawing the cover of TV Station for many years. This is the first time that an animated character has appeared on the cover of TV Station.

Born in Tokyo in 1949. His works include "Arari to Suika" and "Obake no Concert" (picture books), "Krystal Star" (manga), "Whale's Leap" (video), and "Phantasmagoria" (art collection). He has been drawing cover illustrations for TV Station for 28 years since 1988.

Synopsis of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III
It is the year 0074 of the cosmic century. After leaving the Texas Colony, Edwau Mas disguises his identity and enrolls in the Defense Academy of the Autonomous Republic of Zeon as Char Aznable. Char deepens his friendship with Garma, a sergeant in the Zabi family, who becomes his classmate. Gradually, the two become respected by the students.
Finally, in the year 0077, the students rise in armed rebellion against the security forces of the Earth Federation Forces in an attempt to gain their independence. However, this is also the beginning of a grand scenario of revenge as depicted by Shia. ......　--Now the wheels of history begin to turn!
