TV anime "Macross Delta" and the diva unit "Valkyrie" will release their 1st album!　Debut single release commemorative event report

A mini live report from the TV anime "Macross Delta" has arrived, announcing the release of the first album and additional shows of the live tour.



Macross Delta" is a new animation work of the popular "Macross" series, which is based on transformable robots, songs, and love triangles. Set eight years after the previous work "Macross F" on a remote planet in outer space, it depicts a joint operation and love story between the five aerial knights of the "Kingdom of Wind" and the five divas of the tactical music unit "Valkyrie". General director is Shoji Kawamori, director is Kenji Yasuda, series composition and script are by Toshizo Nemoto, character design is by Chisato Jitsuda (CAPCOM), character design is by Majiro and Yu Shindo, and animation production is by Satellite.

At an event held on May 14 to celebrate the release of their debut single, it was announced that they will release their first album "Walküre Attack! In addition to a total of 12 songs, including a new song that will be performed as an insert song, the limited first edition DVD will include the music video for the OP theme song "Hitotsu Dokudemo Koi Nara". In addition, an additionalfirst liveconcert will be held. Details will be revealed in episode 8, which will air on May 22.

On May 14, at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza, the TV anime "Macross Delta" OP & ED theme single release commemorative event "Song is Mystery! Valkyrie" Vaccine Mini Live at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza" was held. The event, featuring JUNNA, who sings the ace vocalist of Valkyrie, Miun Ginne Maire, and Minori Suzuki, who plays Freya Vion, was a truly decadent live performance typical of the "Macross" series.

The first signs of this were evident even before the show began. The event space on the 2nd floor of Lazona Kawasaki was packed with people, not only in the plaza, but also on the 5th floor, the upper level of the building where the atrium is located. The CDs prepared for the high-five and hand-off event were sold out an hour before the event started. Once again, the popularity of this work and the high expectations for the two actors were evident.

JUNNA and SUZUKI appeared in front of the audience with the song "interlude" like the Valkyrie in the film. Instead of greeting the audience, they first performed "Koi! HARRATION THE WAR". Their live harmonies colored this refreshing pop tune, especially at the beginning of the second chorus, when they faced each other and breathed together. The two also smiled and waved to the fans surrounding the stage during the interludes and other parts they were not in charge of.

After the song, they introduced themselves to the audience again, as it was the first time for them to perform in a free space. JUNNA, who gave a magnificent performance with her mature voice, told the audience that she was 15 years old, and the audience gasped. Suzuki, on the other hand, greeted the audience in the same energetic manner as Freya before her own self-introduction. She was also "brought" to the event.

After singing the first song, each of them said, "I was nervous, but I am so glad that the audience got excited (JUNNA)" and "I didn't expect to sing in such a big place, so I am happy (SUZUKI)". After talking about the changes in their feelings after the release of the new album and their memories of the recording, they continued to perform the songs in which they were the main performers.

The first song was "Nai nai borderline," which featured JUNNA's lustrous vocal work and the closing melody of the chorus, which was punctuated with a unique sense of rhythm. The exquisite way she lowered the end of her voice. All of them are mature and thrill the listeners. The audience was able to fully enjoy the salty flavor of her voice, which could only be heard on this particular day. Suzuki also supported the singer's voice with his "hammoly" and they worked well together again.

Suzuki then showed his charm with "Rungu ga shikkari kara" (When the Luns Light Up). He arranged the intro lines, and during the interlude, he said, "I have a favor to ask you to prevent you from turning into viruses! and then "Hoina! and the audience responded with a call-and-response with "Hoina! JUNNA also choreographed with SUZUKI to give the impression of twins, and at the end of the song, they shouted "Gorigori Atac! at the end of the song.

The two girls performed two songs in a row, each with their own unique characteristics. The girls then made a big announcement! They announced that Valkyrie's first album "Walkure Attack!" would be released on July 6, and that they would be holding additional shows for their summer tour. Details of the additional performances will be announced starting with the 8th episode of "Macross Delta", so please check it out if you want to feel their singing voices.

While the excitement was still high, they performed the OP theme of "Macross Delta", "Ichidokudemo koi nara" as the last number. This one was a complete change from the previous one, starting with a symmetrical back-to-back dance. JUNNA's face down during Suzuki's part seemed to the audience as if she was trying to possess Migun's heart in her own. Then, as Freya and Miun, they sang with voices as powerful as the sound. The girls held the audience at Lazona captive until the very end, and at the end of the song, they performed the Valkyrie sign together.

Afterwards, when the two girls were about to take a commemorative photo with the Valkyrie sign in the background, there was another surprise. To their surprise, Shoji Kawamori, the general director of "Macross Delta," appeared on stage! A commemorative photo was taken with the three of them and the audience. After the photo shoot, the live part ended with the news that "the risk rate of viral outbreaks in the Kawasaki area has decreased. Truly, it was a decultured time from start to finish.

Then, after the live performance, JUNNA and Suzuki took the stage again. After the live performance, JUNNA and SUZUKI took the stage again for a high-five and prize-giving session. The two exchanged smiles, words, and high-fives with each attendee, and the event drew to a close with great enthusiasm.

In addition to the release of the theme song single, "Macross Delta" continues to gain momentum with the announcement of Valkyrie's first album and additional performances on the tour.
