The result of "2016 Spring Anime Competitiveness Popularity Poll" was announced!　No. 1 "Chrome Clo", No. 2 "Fufuin Guich", No. 3 "Macross Delta".

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" conducted a voting project from April 25 to May 18, 2016, called "2016 Spring Anime Competitiveness Popularity Poll". Here are the results of the voting.



This project asked people to vote for64 TV animethatwill start airing in spring 2016, which works they look forward to watching every week and which works they recommend watching.The total number of votes cast exceeded 8,000, with a dead heat especially at the top.

The first place winner from the interim announcement on May 11 was "Chromium Chromium", an original anime produced to commemorate the 15th anniversary of P.A.WORKS. It is a school mecha-action anime about boys and girls who ride and fight robots, centering on Yukina, a high school sophomore, and Tokisada, a samurai Kennosuke Seoma who has awakened from a long sleep. The powerful battles and well-crafted storyline are the main attractions of the series. Although it was ranked 31st in the " Expectation Popularity Poll " held prior to the broadcast, it has emerged as the dark horse of the spring anime season.

Fufuin Guicchi" came in second place. This daily life story of a high school witch, Makoto Kihata, and her friends is also the subject of a collaboration project with Hirosaki City in Aomori Prefecture, a sacred place for high school girls. Although it made a dramatic comeback from 4th place in the midterm ranking, it fell short of "Chromium Chromium" with only 14 votes.

In third place was "Macross Delta," one of the biggest spring anime titles. This one continues to maintain a high ranking, coming in third in the "Expectation Popularity Poll" and second in the interim announcement, but the "Macross" series, which has produced numerous hits, seems to set the bar high in terms of satisfaction. The future development of the story as well as the activities of the diva unit "Valkyrie," which is one of the signatures of the series, may be the key to the success of the series.
