Western Digital's enterprise HDD "WD Re" series now available

Western Digital's enterprise HDD "WD Re" series is now on sale.

The lineup includes two models: the 2TB WD2004FBYZ and the 1TB WD1004FBYZ.




The WD Re series is designed for enterprise customers whodemand high durability and reliability, and features superior workload performance that can handle up to 550TB of data per year. TheWD Gold series, a higher capacity enterprise HDD, was released on the 13th of this month.


The main specifications are:SATA 6Gbps interface, 7,200RPM RPM, 128MB cache capacity, 200MB/s transfer rate for 2TB model, 184MB/s for 1TB model, and MTBF (mean time between failures) of 2 million hours for both models.
