The 1-bay NAS kit "DS116" is now available from Synology.

The DS116 is a compact Gigabit LAN-compatibleNAS kitthat can accommodate one 2. 5/3.5" HDD.

The dual-core processor, hardware encryption engine, and floating-point arithmetic unit enable high-speed file transfer even with encrypted data, and the browser-based "Disk Station Manager (DSM)" is used for the OS, making it suitable for home use and small offices. It can be used for everything from home use to small offices.

The main specifications include theMarvell "Armada 385 88F6820 " CPU (operating clock: 1.8 GHz/dual core). System memory is DDR3 1GB, with one Gigabit LAN (RJ-45) and two USB 3.0 interfaces.
