Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin", Episode 4 will be screened in the fall of 2016!　The "Luum Arc" will start in 2017!

The theatrical screening of the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin III: Dawn Uprising" began on May 21, and information about the next installment was announced.



This series is an anime version of the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin" by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the first Gundam. In "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin III: Dawn Uprising," Edwau Mas, who left the Texas Colony and entered the Defense Academy of the Autonomous Republic of Zeon under the name Char Aznable, is seen deepening his friendship with his classmate Garma, the sergeant of the Zabi family, and the students are shown fighting for their independence and rising in arms against the Earth Federation Security Forces. The film also depicts the students' armed uprising against the Earth Federation Forces security forces in an effort to gain independence.


This time, "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin IV: Eve of Destiny," in which the Shia Seira Arc comes to a conclusion, will be screened this fall. In addition, it has been announced that " Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: The Lum Arc" will begin in 2017.

■General director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko
It is a masculine drama, so it is bleak and has elements of war, and I think it has become more Gundam-like. I was anxious about it, but I think it has been good so far. I would like to hear your thoughts on it.
It sounds great to say that I am the general director, but all I can do is check the original drawings and acting. I want you to look at the characters and act them out, and I want to make sure they are in good condition. I know I have caused a lot of hardship and trouble for many people, but thank you very much for all your hard work so far.
It has been 37 years since Gundam was created. We were still young then, but we are finally able to deliver the third episode to you all. Today, we are finally able to deliver the third episode. I feel like it's already the third episode, but we are working on the fourth episode. I know it's a little early, but please stay tuned. But there is still a long way to go. （Thanks to everyone's support, we will be able to make the Lum version! I feel very fulfilled. I still have energy, so I would like to devote myself to Gundam.

Shuichi Ikeda as Char Aznable
Today, I was finally able to change my name from Edwau Mas to Char Aznable." My name is Shuichi Ikeda, and I am raising my son (Garma). Actually, I came here today after watching the third episode at home on my way out the door, and I am very happy to have met Char Aznable again through the work "THE ORIGIN".
Since we are classmates, the two young men (Kakihara and Maeno) gave me a lot of strength while I was working on the film. I was the same age as them when I was allowed to work on the first Gundam movie version, so I did my best while remembering that (laughs).
The fourth episode will be dubbed this summer and will be shown to everyone in the fall. As you can see in the trailer, Lala will appear and she will also ride a mobile suit, so I think it will be another exciting work.
Through the work of "THE ORIGIN," I was able to meet Char Aznable again, and I would like to continue to provide you all with good works in the future as well, so please continue to support me.

■Megumi Ban as Seira Mas
I would like to spend a pleasant time with you all today.
I can't believe that seven months have already passed, but there are so many people here and the warm applause on the first day makes me feel like I'm back at the first day of the show, which I have been doing for one or two episodes. The applause made me feel like I was being told "welcome back.
The recording was done in one day, but after I finished recording my part, I had to return to the site at dawn because I really wanted to be there. All I could do was to watch. I could feel the ruthlessness of the battle in this film at the site. This film has become a man's battlefield. I was able to realize once again that the colony has night and can greet the morning sunrise, although it is often overlooked in the midst of such battles. I would like to continue to live and survive in "THE ORIGIN" together with everyone, so please give me your support.

Tetsuya Kakihara as Garma Zabi
My name is Tetsuya Kakihara, and I play the role of "the most loved boy in the world," Garma Zabi. In the second episode, I only said a few words, but this time I played the role with a lot of energy. Garma is a character that will remain in the history of the Gundam, so I didn't make any assumptions about what Garma is like. Garma first meets Shia at the military academy and learns many things, so I think I created this character together with Shuichi, who is playing next to her.
I am Garma Zabi, so as you all know, many things are going to happen in the future (laughs). (Laughs) If I am going to be playing the role of Garma Zabi, I would like to be played by the best girl I can be, so I spent my life as an actor playing the role while learning from Shuichi, hoping that I could become part of the Gundam's blood and flesh. I was very happy to be able to work in such a tense environment, and it made me feel very happy to be an actor.
Even Garma doesn't know what is going to happen (in the coming one-year war)! Please give me one favor (laughs). Mr. Ikeda told me to create Kakihara Garma, so I am determined to make him into a wonderful boy that exceeds everyone's imagination. Please continue to support me.

Tomoaki Maeno as Lino Fernandez
I was under a lot of pressure to play this important role because of the previous information that "Lino is a character related to Char's mask," but Lino himself is a cheerful and good-tempered character with a third face, so it was fun playing him. I think I was able to show various possibilities by his appearance. I am very happy to have been involved in this project.
（I am truly honored (to work with Mr. Ikeda). I have always loved the Gundam series, and being able to work side by side with Ikeda-san was a great asset for me.
Now that I have the opportunity to play Lino, I think that since I have an "A" rating in special vehicle operation, if the times had been different, Lino might have been riding the ZACRERO and would have been known as the "Yellow Meteorite". One of the charms of Gundam is that you never know what will happen in the future, and I would like to watch the future of "THE ORIGIN" with you all, hoping for such a chance.
