TV anime "Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON" to start in October! Cast & Staff Announced

TV anime "Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON" will start in October on Fuji Television.



The "Monster Hunter" series is Capcom's hunting action game in which players face off against giant monsters in a magnificent natural setting. The series has grown into a mega-hit series with cumulative sales of 36 million units (as of March 31, 2016), thanks to the establishment of a new communication style of "cooperating with friends to challenge powerful monsters" through communication and cooperative play. The first RPG in the series, "Monster Hunter Stories," is scheduled for release on October 8 for the Nintendo 3DS and will retain the series' worldview, with the main characters being "monster riders" who form bonds with monsters and live together.


The cast of the anime version includes Mutsushin Tamura as the main character Lute and M.A.O. as his partner Nabilou. The staff includes Mitsuru Hongo, director of "World Trigger," Natsuko Takahashi, series composition by Mitsuru Hongo of "Ore Monogatari! (ORE MONOGATARI!), Takuya Saito (MACROSS ZERO) for character design, and David Production for animation production. Yoko Matsuzaki (Fuji Television's Animation Development Department), who oversees production, said, "It is no exaggeration to say that the history of Fuji Television has been filled with animation. Just as we have done with "Chibi Maruko-chan," "Sazae-san," and other animated series, we are working on "Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON" to make it a program that will continue to attract viewers who will say they love Fuji Television 10 years from now. The program will air on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and on Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
