Original TV animation "TRICKSTER - from Edogawa Rampo's "Shonen Tanteidan" -" will start in October.



TRICKSTER" is an original anime based on Edogawa Rampo's novel "Shonen tanteidan" and set in the near future. The story is set in Tokyo in the year 203X, and depicts the encounter between Kobayashi and Hanazaki, as well as the fate of the criminal of the century, the Phantom with Twenty Faces, and the mysterious detective, Akechi Kogoro.

The cast features Daiki Yamashita as Kobayashi, a suicidal and twisted character, and Ryota Aisaka as Hanazaki, a natural codger who acts on instinct. The characters are designed by PEACH-PIT of "Rozen Maiden" and "Shugo Chara! The manga will be published in the June 20 issue of "Magazine Special No. 7" and has already been adapted into a stage play and a live-action movie.


Mr. Daiki Yamashita as Yoshio Kobayashi
Kobayashi is a boy who carries something heavier than others. At first glance, he seems to have mature thoughts, but in fact, I think he has a cute side that is appropriate for his age and a desire to be pampered. Perhaps he is younger than his actual age. I hope I can play various aspects of Kobayashi in an attractive way.

Ryota Aisaka as Kensuke Hanazaki
Hanasaki is basically an optimistic character, so I think I can enjoy his usual acting, but he may be a character with something in him, so I will play him with that in mind. I think he would be a good character if he didn't have anything!

I was involved in the project from the planning stage, and the characters were revised until everyone was satisfied with the final product.
I was touched by the enthusiasm of the director and all the staff, and was grateful for the opportunity to have Mr. Yamada's delicate lines breathe life into the characters we had drawn, bringing them to life with vivid colors.
I can't help but look forward to seeing the characters in the film as they act, sometimes suffer, and grow.
I am waiting excitedly to see what kind of adventures they will have in the future!
