Nicknamed "Rieshon," she has a unique presence that has captured the hearts of not only her fans but also the staff. As an artist, she pursues "Rie Music" that only she can do. Rie Shon talks a lot about her debut single!

I was thrilled to hear the words, "My heart's bell has rung.

─ Your solo debut single is a double A-side, "Sweet Sensation" and "Baby, My First Kiss," isn't it?

Murakawa: That's right. I am honored to have both sides from my first single.

─ ─ How did you feel when you were first told about your solo debut?

Murakawa: "Wow, I did it! I was like, "Wow, I did it! When I first spoke with the director of Nippon Columbia, he was there with materials and explained to me the project he had in mind for me to do if I were to make my debut. I was happy, grateful, and happy for his passion, and I knew that if I could work with such passionate people, I would be able to create great music.

─ Did the director say what attracted him to you?

Murakawa: I heard that the moment I walked into the recording studio and said "Good morning," the director's heart bell rang.

─ That's a good story!

Murakawa: I was very happy to hear that he felt that way, not based on logic, but on intuition. I am also a person who values inspiration, so I was very moved. I immediately made up my mind, "I have no choice but to work with you! I immediately made up my mind.

─ Next, I worked on the TV animation "12 Years Old. ~Then it was decided that you would sing the opening theme for the TV anime "12-Year-Olds.

Murakawa: I was very happy about that, too. To tell the truth, I had auditioned as a voice actor for "12 Years Old. was a work for which I had auditioned as a voice actor before. I loved the original work, so I was disappointed that I could not be a part of it, but I was very happy that I could be involved as an artist! I was very happy and felt a connection with the work.

─ ─ And you yourself are "eternally 12 years old.

Murakawa: Yes, yes. I have no concept of age, and if I were to use the earthly age scale, I would say that I am about 12 years old.

─ So you were chosen to sing the opening for a work with many girls and boys of the same age?

Murakawa: Yes, in that sense, we have a connection (laughs).

─ ─ From your point of view, what is the appeal of "12 Years Old. What is the charm of "12 Years Old" from your point of view?

Murakawa: I like the cute illustrations, and the love story that makes me swoon. It is a romance between elementary school students, but I think it is something that adults can enjoy as well.

─ ─ The lines and actions of the 12-year-old girl and the boy have a purity that makes me feel horny when I see them as an adult! I can't get enough of it! It's the kind of work that makes you want to talk about it when you see it (laughs).

Murakawa: I think it is a work that becomes the center of everyone's conversation. I also enjoy it as a viewer.

─ Which character is your favorite?

Murakawa: Everyone is so attractive in their own way that it's hard to pick just one, but I was very impressed and happy when the music production team said, "Rie-shon looks a little like Hanahi.

─ Hanahi is tiny and cute, but she also has a natural troublemaker side, doesn't she?

Murakawa: Yes, yes, she does have that side, but you didn't mean it that way, did you? (And to the Columbia staff)

Staff: No, I didn't (laughs). (laughs) We are similar in that we are both pure and straightforward.

Murakawa: I'm glad, I'm glad (laughs).

──What did you think of the opening video?

Murakawa: The video was cute, and I was happy to see the lyrics on the screen. I wanted viewers of my generation to memorize the lyrics and sing along. When I was a child, I used to sing the opening song of my favorite anime, and even now, when I hear the song, I remember how I used to sing it when I was a little girl. I would be honored if "Sweet Sensation" could someday become like that.
