The main staff, cast, and other details of the TV anime "Solder-kun," which will start in July, have been announced.
Based on Satsuki Yoshino's manga serialized in the monthly Shonen Gangan magazine, "Solder-kun" is a spin-off of "Barakamon," a TV anime that aired from July to September 2014.
The staff consists of director Teitaka Koyama (Noramimi), series composition by Michiko Yokote (Jailhouse Academy), character design by Mayuko Matsumoto (Fleet This), and animation production by Dio Media.
The cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kiyoshi Handa, a high school calligrapher who believes that he is "disliked" by those around him, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Takao Kawato, Handa's only best friend and a sociable person, Yuya Hirose as Junichi Aizawa, an honor student who is determined to be the class president, and popular Tetsuya Kakihara plays Reo Nikaido, a popular reader model who prides herself on being popular with the ladies; Yoshimasa Hosoya plays Akane Tsutsui, a strong-willed, strong-willed woman; and Daiki Yamashita plays Yukio Kondo, the only person with common sense. The opening theme is "The LiBERTY" by Fo'xTails and the ending theme is "HIDE-AND-SEEK" by Kenichi Suzumura.
