A special event "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time x Tokyo National Museum" has been announced.
This event is an anniversary project of "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" directed by Mamoru Hosoda, which marks the 10th anniversary of its release, and will be held at the Tokyo National Museum, which is also the setting of the film. The event will be part of "Studio Map 2016 in Summer," commemorating the first TV broadcast of "Bakemono no ko" (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time).
First, an outdoor screening of "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" will be held in front of the Tokyo National Museum's main building on July 15 and 16 at 7:00 p.m. Before the screening on July 15, there will be a talk event by director Mamoru Hosoda and Masato Matsushima, Director of the Museum's Exhibition Coordination Office, and on July 16, a special event with special guests who are essential to this film. On the 16th, a special event featuring a special guest who is an integral part of the film is scheduled, and the Honkan and Toyokan will be open until 22:00 on the same day, allowing visitors to experience the setting of the film and view many artworks after the screening.
In addition, official goods, original goods designed exclusively for the museum, goods designed exclusively for the outdoor cinema, and food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
