TOKYO GHOST: "TOKYO GHOST TOKYO Ghoul" to be made into a live-action movie!　Official site is now open!

A live-action film adaptation of "Tokyo Ghoul" has been announced.



Tokyo Ghoul" is a dark fantasy manga by SuiIshida, serialized in Weekly Young Jump, about people who are at the mercy of the ghouls, monsters that blend into society in human form in order to eat human flesh. The original comic has sold more than 18 million copies and has been adaptedinto a TV anime in2014anda stage play in2015,among other projects.

Now a live-action film adaptation has been decided, and the official website of the film's distributor, Shochiku, has been opened. The visuals are based on memorable lines familiar to fans of the original, with the silhouettes of the hero, Kaneki, and heroine, Toka, switching in the background. The cast and release date have yet to be announced, but it is likely to draw a lot of attention as it is a popular title.
