The second season of the TV anime "12 years old. ～ is an anime work based on Naho Maita'smanga "12 years old," which is serialized in Chao. which is serialized in Chao by Naho Maita. It depicts a girl in the sixth grade growing up while struggling with love, friendship, and physical changes. Directed by Seiki Ouuki of "Kirarin☆Revolution" fame, series composition by Fumi Tsubota of the "Pretty Rhythm" series, and animation production by O.L.M. The second season of the series is scheduled to premiere in March 2012.

The second season will feature new characters such as Inaba Mikami, and is said to bring about an even more exciting storm of love. Broadcasting will begin on Mondays at 19:30 on TOKYO MX from October 3, Mondays at 21:00 on AT-X from October 3, Tuesdays at 17:25 on TV Aichi from October 4, Wednesdays at 17:25 on TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting from October 5, Saturdays at 7:30 on Sun TV from October 8, and Saturdays at 7:30 on TV Hokkaido from October 9. Sun TV will start airing the program on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. on October 8, and on Mondays at 5:25 p.m. on TV Hokkaido starting October 10, as well as on Amazon Prime Video.

The first season will be rebroadcast from July.
