Animated film "SWORD ART ONLINE THE MOVIE" to be released worldwide in spring 2017!　Special Report Video and Key Visuals Unleashed!

The first special trailer and a new key visual from the anime film "Sword Art Online -Ordinal Scale- the Movie," which will be released in spring 2017, have been announced.



Sword Art Online" is an anime work based on the light novel by Reki Kawahara.The first TV anime season aired from July to December 2012 and the second from July to December 2014, and thecompletely new anime movie "SWORD ART ONLINE THE MOVIE Sword Art Online -Ordinal Scale-" is in production.

The event "SAO Festival" was held within the anime convention "Anime Expo 2016" in Los Angeles, USA, with secret guests Haruka Tomatsu, who plays Asuna, and Ayaka Takagaki, who plays Lizbeth. It was announced that the movie version will be released worldwide in the spring of 2017. The first special report uses footage from the film, and the new key visual was newly drawn by character designer Shingo Adachi.
