I read the original work when I auditioned. I was both excited and anxious to be cast in this highly anticipated work and wondered what kind of work it would be.
It is a wonderful work with many fans of the original, so I am sure there will be a variety of reactions. I'm sure there will be a variety of reactions, such as "I want to see that scene," "I want to see this scene! I am sure there will be many opinions, but this time, the story will be more focused on Masaya. I hope that you will come to the theater and experience the "Form of Undeclared" as depicted by director Yamada and his team.

Saori Hayami as Nishimiya Glass
I was half anxious and half hopeful. When I read the original work, I felt that it depicted very delicate emotions, so I was nervous about how well I would be able to reproduce that atmosphere as the character of Glass at the postrecording session, but I was also very happy to be involved in the film.
I read the original story again, had meetings with the director, and talked to people with hearing disabilities to create the character of Glass from scratch.
When I talked with the director, I realized that although "Unamplified" has many catchy elements, it is fundamentally about "human connections" and "emotional turmoil".
There are many important scenes in every minute. I hope you will enjoy the film from beginning to end. Please come to the theater as many times as you can.

Aoi Yuuki as Yugen Nishimiya
I was very happy to be chosen to play Yugen. Since I was chosen, I felt that I had to convey to you all the sad feelings that Yugen has been harboring since the original story.
I don't think there is anyone who didn't have heartbreak when they were a student. Whether you were negative or positive, whether you got good or bad grades, whether you had many friends or few friends, I think everyone suffered in their own way.
The characters in this film also all have some kind of trouble and struggle to overcome it. I am sure that their struggles will leave a lasting impression on everyone's heart. I also tried my best with Yugen, even though I am not a good writer. I hope it will be an unforgettable work for you.

I really like this work and I wanted to play any kind of role in it.
So I was very happy when it was decided.

Yuki Kaneko as Naoka Ueno
I was very moved to tears when I read the original story. That is why I was so eager to audition for the role of Naoka Ueno. I couldn't believe it when I heard that I was accepted. I was really happy.
I usually do a lot of narration and not so much animation, so when I heard the names of the cast members, I thought my eyes would pop out of my head (laughs). (Laughs.) Everyone had played child actors before, so I felt a lot of pressure, but at the same time I knew I had to work very hard! I was so fired up to do my best. I was so fired up that I made a lot of mistakes at the beginning of the recording (......).
I am so grateful to have been allowed to participate in such a wonderful work.
It was really difficult and exciting ...... and it became a very important work for me. I am happy and treasured to have met this work. I want you to see both the movie and the original work.
It is a wonderful work that makes you think a lot, so I hope many people will see it.
As the director said, this is not just a story about a boy and a girl with a hearing impairment, but I also think it is a story about everyone's heart.
In fact, when I was reading the script at home, I even forgot that Ms. Nishimiya has a hearing impairment. The human heart is delicately portrayed, and I think there are many scenes that viewers will be able to relate to. Please come and see our awkwardness.

Yui Ishikawa as Miyoko Sawara
When I talked with my voice actor friends about what I would like to be in if an anime ever came out, the first thing I mentioned was "聲の形"! I love it that much and have read it many times. After the announcement of the anime adaptation, I honestly thought that the audition had already ended, so when I heard about the audition, I was already happy that I had a chance to audition. I was already happy when I heard about the audition because I was so eager to be a part of this film that I was nervous all the way until I heard the result. So when I got the call that I had been accepted, I wanted to scream! (But there were people around, so I had to limit myself to a gut-punch.) I am really happy to be able to be a part of this film.
I usually don't read the same book over and over again, but I read "Unamplified" many times. I think it is because I wanted to get courage from reading this manga, as I am not able to take the first step forward, rather than "to cry" or "to be excited". The characters in "Unamplified" are all straight-laced and clumsy in their own ways, struggling and struggling to move forward and connect with others. I love these characters and every time I read the book, I feel like I am trying my best too. It is a very sensitive film, but I am sure that by the time you finish watching it, you will be able to feel something. I hope many people will watch it.

Megumi Ban as Miki Kawai

Miki Kawai. I wondered how I would face this girl. Of course I was happy and delighted to be accepted for the role and to be involved in the production, but that was what occupied most of my thoughts. I thought that facing her would lead me to face "Unamplified", Shoya and Glass and others.
I felt that every emotion appealed to and resonated with me, no matter what time of year it was. I was reminded of the preciousness of communicating. I hope you will experience it in the theater.

Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Satoshi Mashiba
I was very happy and honored to be able to take on a work with such a high level of everyday reality, but at the same time I felt a lot of pressure.
At the same time, I felt a lot of pressure. This is a work that makes you think, "Maybe young people living today are having these kinds of problems? Although there is a major theme of hearing impairment, I think the film depicts the lives of young people, including the environment that surrounds them. I feel that this is a film that should be seen by everyone in the same age group, but also by parents who have children who are students.
