Animation film "Taka no Tsume 8: Yoshida-kun's X-Files", main cast announced!　Aoi Morikawa, Aya Uchida, Tomokazu Sugita, Rika Matsumoto

The main cast and trailer have been announced for the animated film "Takanotsume 8: Yoshida-kun's X (Batten) File," which will be released in advance on August 20 and expanded nationwide on August 27.

The film is based on the manga series by FROGMAN (original idea) and OHWAKI Masayoshi (artwork), which is currently being serialized in the monthly magazine "Korokoro Ichiban! and is the latest in the "Secret Society Taka no Tsume" series, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Yoshida-kun, a local elementary school student, and his friends play at a secret base, where they meet Agents Morellder and Naskali of the World Federal Bureau of Investigation's X Division, who have come from the future, and together they go on a search for a "cursed video" that has been causing mysterious incidents in the future.

Yoshida-kun is played by the ever-familiar FROGMAN (who also serves as director and screenwriter), and the rest of the main cast has now been unveiled. Aoi Morikawa will make her voice acting debut as the strong-willed heroine Satomi; Aya Uchida will play the role of Tsuchie, a smart girl who always carries a PC; Tomokazu Sugita will play the role of Agent Morellder, who comes from the future; and Rika Matsumoto will play his partner, Agent Nascarie. Monkichi, who sings the theme song "Ichiki Ichikai," will also appear as the alien Gray.

Aoi Morikawa (Satomi)
I am looking forward to playing Satomi as one of the Takanotsume characters that everyone has seen on the street. I love anime, so I am happy to be able to enter the world of anime!

Aya Uchida (Tsuchie)
I was really surprised to be cast in a Takanotsume production when I was chosen to play the role of Tsuchie! I was so happy! I was really nervous at the beginning of the recording. I was really nervous at the beginning of the recording... When we did the test reading before the show, FROGMAN and the other staff were all laughing through the glass in the booth, so I was confused! I was so confused... (laughs).
