The result of "I want to watch it in summer! Sea Anime Popularity Poll" results announced!　No.1 "Haifuri", 2nd and 3rd place were very close, "Amanchu! and "Nagi no Asukara

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" held an official voting project from July 11, 2016, "I want to watch it in summer! Sea Anime Popularity Poll", which had been held since July 11, 2016, closed on July 25. Twenty anime works in various genres related to the "sea" were nominated, and users were asked to vote for which works they would like to watch during this season. The total number of votes cast was 1546.

The winner was the naval battle anime "High School Fleet " (300 votes), which just finished airing as a spring 2016 anime. The story is about high school girls who gather at a maritime high school in Yokosuka, Japan in the near future to join the "Blue Mermaid," which protects the sea, and overcome various crises while aboard a battleship from the Pacific War era. The story is highly acclaimed for its depiction of battleships, battle scenes, and attractive characters, and has received a high satisfaction rating of "4.50" (as of July 26) on AniPotato's work evaluation. The fact that it was still fresh in people's minds immediately after its broadcast, and the fact that the animation was also quite good, may have contributed to the high number of votes received.

In second place was "Amanchu" ( 224 votes), which overtook third-place "Nagi no Asukara" at the last minute. (224 votes). (224 votes), a 2016 summer anime currently airing, received a high number of votes despite the fact that only about three episodes have passed since the start of the broadcast. It is about a scuba diving club at an all-girls school, and portrays the friendship between the main character, Hikaru Kohinata, a natural child, and Futaba Ohki, a transfer from the city, while also incorporating comedic elements. As a scuba diving series, the depiction of the transparent sea is beautiful, and the work is already gaining a reputation for its beautiful artwork, which probably contributed to the high number of votes received this time.

Third place went to "Amanchu! ( 221 votes), a coming-of-age story that aired in the fall of 2013, in which two junior high school students, one living on the ocean floor and the other on land, meet and fall in love. The ocean is an important factor in the story, and its beautiful depiction, combined with the freshness of the coming-of-age story, left a very strong impression. It is a masterpiece that received a high rating of "4.67" (as of July 26, 2012) on Anipota's satisfaction rating scale.

The next ranking was "Love Live," a 2016 summer anime currently being broadcasted! Sunshine! (130 votes), followed by "Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova" ( 98 votes), a highly rated naval battle series, in fifth place.
