Men's Figure Skating Anime "Yuri! on ICE" to start in October!　The key visual has been unveiled.

The TV anime "Yuri! on ICE" will start airing in October. The key visual has been revealed.



Yuri! on ICE" isthe first full-scale men's figure skating animein history.It depicts the Grand Prix series in which skaters from various countries compete against each other in heated competitions, with thecliffhangerskater, Yuri Katsumo, as the main character. Manga artist Mitsuro Kubo, who created "MOTEKI" and anime director Sayo Yamamoto, who worked on "MICHIKO and HACCHIN" and "LUPIN the Third: The Woman Named Fujiko Mine", have teamed up to create the original story. The character design is by Teishi Hiramatsu. Character design is by Sadafumi Hiramatsu, figure skating choreography by Kenji Miyamoto, and production by MAPPA.

The series will air from October2016,when the Figure Skating Grand Prix Series will actually be held. The key visual released depicts the main characters, Yuri Katsusho,Victor Nikiforov, and YuriPlisetsky, as well as their rivals from various countries.
