Anipota's official "I want to watch it in summer! Mountain Anime Popularity Poll" started!　Including "FUWAIN GUICH," "YAMANOSUME," "NONNOBIYORI" and more!

The official voting project "I want to watch it in summer" started today, August 3 (Wed.) on "Anipota," an anime portal operated by Akiba Research Institute, Inc! Mountain Anime Popularity Poll" started today, August 3 (Wed).

The coming August 11 (Thursday) is "Yama no Hi" (Mountain Day)!　Some of you may not know it, but that is as it should be. Some of you may not know that it is a national holiday, but that's because it was established this year. AniPota recently conducted a "Popularity Poll for Sea Anime to Watch in Summer" in connection with the Marine Day! We have picked up animation works set in the mountains or in the countryside near the mountains to celebrate the Day of the Mountains. We started this project to ask everyone to vote for their favorite works.

There are a total of 23 works nominated. Major nominees include "Furuinguichi," a popular 2016 spring anime set in the Aomori countryside, "Non no biyo," another countryside anime that became a big hit, and "Yamanosumé," a short anime about a mountain itself that drew a lot of attention and even had a sequel made. Yamanosume" was also nominated. Also nominated were "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" (We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day), a masterpiece set in a mountain town, and "Ano Natsu de Matteru. Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer)" are also strong candidates. As for the animated feature films, "Heidi, Girl of the Alps," "Princess Mononoke," "Wolf Children, Rain and Snow," "Summer Wars," and "My Neighbor Totoro" are also nominated, and it is hard to say which is the best. Please cast your three enthusiastic votes. Voting will be open until August 17.
