Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" is an anime work based on Haruko Unda's manga serialized in ITAN. Set in the world of rakugo in the Showa era (1926-1989), it depicts the true faces and deeds of rakugo storytellers, along with delicate human portrayals. Directed by Mamoru Hatakeyama, series composition by Jun Kumagai, character design by Mieko Hosoi, rakugo supervision by Shinpei Hayashiya, and animation production by Studio Deen.
