Autumn Anime "Touken Ranbu - Hanamaru-", Illustrations of Imaken and Maeda Toushiro Unveiled!　Cast comments also arrived!

New character illustrations have been released for the TV anime "Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru," which will start in October.



Since its launch on January 14, 2015, "Touken Ranbu,"a sword training simulation game in which players take on the role of the master of "swordmen," famous swordsmen from history who have been transformed into warriors and form the "Shirahaidai" to defeat enemies,has exploded in popularity, especially among women, due to its unique and appealing male characters and relationships based on historical facts. The TV anime "Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru" is directed by Takashi Naotani (first-time director of a TV anime series), with character design by Junichiro Taniguchi, series composition and script by Pierre Sugiura, and production by Animation Studio. In addition, "Sword Dance (tentative title)," produced by ufotable, is scheduled to be broadcast by the end of 2017.

This time, a collection of animated character illustrations and facial expressions of "Ima-no-Tsurugi," a short sword said to be the guardian sword of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and "Maeda Toushirou," one of the short swords created by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu, were released.
