" Comic Market" or "Comiket" is the world's largest coterie magazine exhibition, held twice a year in August (commonly known as Summer Comic Market) and December (commonly known as Winter Comic Market). Comic Market 89, held at the end of 2015, attracted 520,000 visitors over three days , including individual circles, cosplayers, and general participants.

This year's event will be held for three days from August 12 to 14 again, but due to the construction of facilities for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, corporate booths in West Halls 1 and 2 will only be exhibited on the first and second days of the event. In addition, for the first time, circles will be located in West Halls 3 and 4. Major companies exhibiting at the corporate booths for the first time include JOYSOUND, Sports Hochi, Yuke's, and shop Sunrise.

On August 12, T. M. Revolution's Takanori Nishikawa "supervised" a general circle called "T-nen M-gumi" to exhibit. The official Twitter page of the circle said, " We've just finished giving sample magazines to the circles on either side of us and greeting them, and we're about to start! (Nishikawa-san, who seemed to have taken care of his customary duties before the show started, said, "I' m afraid my stay will be short due to various reasons," but he politely responded to the long line of fans. I thank all the participants! I will never forget the cheers I heard the moment the shutter opened! He concluded, "I will never forget the cheers when the shutter opened.
