The first place went to "YAMANOSUME," a soft, gentle anime about mountain climbing, which was aired as a 5-minute short animation in its first season. The show's high level of perfection, including its relaxed worldview and surprisingly informative and realistic introductory commentary on mountain climbing, attracted a lot of attention, leading to the production of a second season with an expanded 15-minute time slot. It seems that many users had the image of this work as a representative work when it comes to "mountains.

Higurashi When They Cry" and"Fufuin Guicchi" tied for second place. Higurashi When They Cry" was originally created in 2002 as a PC game (sound novel) by a doujinshi, and later adapted into an anime in 2006, making it a legendary long-running work. It is a mystery surrounding a series of murders that occurred in a deep mountain village, and its deep storyline has been highly acclaimed. On the other hand, "Furuinguicchi" is a heartwarming daily life anime that aired as a spring 2016 anime. Set in the countryside of Aomori Prefecture, it is popular for its relaxing style, and was ranked first in the "2016 Spring Anime Satisfaction Popularity Poll".

In fourth place was another heartwarming rural daily life anime, "Non no Bi Yori," which is set in a fictional mountain village. Although the story takes place in a fictional mountain village, it is still fresh in our memories that many viewers became enamored with its relaxing rural lifestyle and characters with a great sense of humor. The popular character Renge's utterance of "Nyanpasoo! by the popular character Renge became a popular phrase.
