The production of "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter," a sequel to the popular anime "Galpan," has been announced.

Girls und Panzer" aired as a TV anime in 2012. The concept of beautiful girls and tanks became a hot topic, and OVAs and movies were produced. In particular, the movie version released in November 2015 has already been running for over a year and is extremely popular.

The production announcement of the sequel, "The Final Chapter," was made at the "2nd Heartful Tank Carnival" held at Pacifico Yokohama on August 28 (Sun.). A PV was shown at the event, but detailed information on whether the "final chapter" will be a TV series or a theater production was not announced at this time. However, it was announced that Tsutomu Mizushima, the director of the Anko team, will participate in the "20th Oarai Anko Festival" to be held on November 13 (Sun.) in Oarai, Ibaraki Prefecture, in addition to the Anko team cast.

The Blu-ray/DVD release of the "2nd Heartful Tank Disc" containing this event will be February 24, 2017. The price is 6,000 yen plus tax for the Blu-ray and 5,000 yen plus tax for the DVD.
